CEMETERY DESIGN
The entry gates to the cemetery were designed by Rimas Paulionis.

The indoor/outdoor chapel by Walter Liacas is used for special Masses attended each spring and fall by numerous Lithuanians from all over Ontario.  The chapel roof is adorned by ornamental metalwork crafted by Juozas Bakis according to the design of Telesforas Valius and symbolizes Lithuania's struggle for religious freedom.  The Cross atop the chapel tower including the figure of the "Rūpintojėlis" Christ in the niche of the tower were created by Msgr. Jonas Staškevičius.

The War memorial was erected by the Lithuanian National Guard in Canada - "Šauliai" - and is a copy of the memorial on Kaunas, Lithuania.

The mound of crosses surrounding the chapel were originally made for a Lithuanian exposition and transplanted here.  Over time the many small crosses were replaced by larger more elaborate ones, donated by organizations and individuals, to commemorate milestones or to serve as memorials.
